Then this happened

My gardening ghost is still hard at work. As you might remember, in each new season, I have been greeted by new flowers remaining from sometime long even before the previous occupants of this 1880 colonial arrived. In early spring, our roadside curb was triumphant with daffodils. Summer has brought thousands of tiger lilies.

I think there is a little message in here for me. The tiger lily is my Mother's favorite flower, carried by her bridesmaid's in her wedding against light orange gowns. Makes it feel a little like this place was meant to be for me. Do you think?

We have the same phenomenon going on here with the Victorian home. Love how there's always something in bloom!

I love tiger lillies so much... My mother had them growing all over the place at my childhood home in NY. When the stalks dried out I would pull them from the ground and make little teepees from them - a little trick to pass on to your girls : )
