Easter, the last minute dash

It may seem, as I write to you today, that I am a bit like that silly rabbit who entrances Alice into a hole, but also, a whole new world for her, let's not forget.

In any event, a great deal has been afoot here and now I am late for a very important date with you. Requests have come in by the in-box full with regard to what to make for Easter and somewhere between my being very sick, and then swooping of to Kansas to see family, and then starting a new (exciting and wonderful) little job with a Virginia winery, and then racing right here to New York, I became a smidge tardy. But, for all the best reasons!

The question which looms so very large this day are what might be a few great Easter side dishes and I can only hope to oblige my gorgeous readers, ah-hem, and not be any later in doing so. Owing to my own nonsense, I have selected things which you can do say, this minute, and be through, say, in the shake of a lambs tail. I love the color in all of these prospects, all the glorious shades of a bright spring. What are you making?

Delightful!

A Virginia winery? Are you going to be in my neck of the woods? Mrs. E. has a very old friend whose father you may well know... .

Yes, we live in Middleburg part time now. Do come see us when you are near!

Indeed, I wonder if I work him now? :))

I love Middleburg. Have several friends in The Plains and spent time in that neck of the woods as a child.

We've just returned from a short getaway to Charlottesville - where we regrettably weren't able to make time for winery visits. Our path took us not too far from your area and all the winery signs were so tempting. Ah well, next time. It looks like the industry has changed/developed a great deal since my husband's UVA days.
