Saturday Beauty: The Well-Conceived Face

Whether or not she actually needs makeup is another discussion.



Her face, like any, is a magnificent canvas in the right hands.



Make up: In my book, very much a high art form and the concept of it being over-applied is, like any great painting, in my estimation, very much in the subjective impression of the observer.

It is not simply that one wears too much makeup which is the issue on many faces; it is that one wears too much bad makeup, applies it incorrectly, or in the wrong colors.

Jessica Simpson has a tremendous amount of makeup on in the bottom photo, but it is well done nonetheless: Perhaps the best argument for learning to use the wands correctly.

More beautiful? Perhaps not, but well-conceived and executed, indeed.
