It breaks my heart that they closed down Tavern on the Green. We had the opportunity to go last year at Christmas time and it was such a delight.

It is a shame, I hate to see one of the old ones go. But at least the new owners have a LOT of restaurant experience, the entire family is in the business (Bryant & Cooper, Cippolini, Riverbay, William Poll) ... I would not be surprised to see the phoenix rise from the ashes, better than ever ... they really know their business ...

My husband asked me to marry him on a long ago Dec. 21st in a horse drawn buggy and we rode into the park to TOTG. What a night. 25 years later our 3 kids gave us a gc to go there for our anniversary. My daughter just went on a date there 2 weeks ago. So sad.

So sad, my mom took me there when I was little. It is such a memory for me. But on a brighter note, here's to new possibilies in 2010!
