What if...

you found this in the garden of a good friend? Boyfriend, girlfriend? An old flame?

Thomas Hobbs, author of The Jewel Box Garden found this while walking through the garden of an old friend.

I would think it was a gift and they felt obligated to use it in some way.

I've never seen anything like this. I'm not sure what my reaction would be!

Leave it to Hobbs, have you checked out his book "Shocking Beauty"? It's at the top of my list of favorites, always inspiring when I think my gardens are suffering from the blahs.

Wow, what an interesting thought. My immediate reaction would be to read it cover to cover but don't think that I could actually do it!

Thanks for leaving me a comment today. I kind of gasped at it because I was just working on my post for tomorrow and it has to do with John Robshaw! What a coincidence, right? Thanks again for visiting me!

I will just spill my thoughts here - oh, I really thought this would get people talking but I am not sure you guys have ever been this quiet:

At first I thought: I need one of those, there is some things I would like to put in it and store them outside. Safer there.

Then I thought that if I found it in the garden of someone I loved, my heart would hurt for them. I would wonder what was in their book of regrets. I would hope whaterver was there did not linger and consume them still.

Regarding my ex, I thought: I really hope I am not in his book.

I would hope it were relatively empty and buy them a bigger book to note all the things they've learnt, and thier successes, possible called hope

Uhmmmm .....

I could never read it. I'd bring it back to whoever owned it and let them do what they want!

I'd have to give it back to them quickly though, because even though I'd hate myself for reading it and would think it was wrong, but I could be tempted!

I think I would read it. And put it back right where I found it.

It's like they wanted you to see it...
