Table of Rememberence: Southern Accents
"Frontispiece: French Doors establish a graceful and unassuming entrance to this newly restored 1915 Dallas home. A silk draped table provides an intimate focal point in the grand foyer, where the owners ever-changing arrangement of blue-and-white porcelain encourages guests to linger and admire."
This "table scape" was the cover and opening photo of the book Southern Style, by the editors of Southern Accents magazine (Bulfinch Press, 1999), which closed its doors this past week. It will be sorely missed.
While you are visiting Blushing Hostess, be sure to contribute to this week's Etiquette Challenge Workshop.
Additional tables can be viewed at BNOTP.

I have always dreamed of having a foyer big enough for a large round table with fresh flowers on it daily--this is it!
How beautiful.
Gorgeous entry !

Nothing says elegance like a grand foyer. I would love to have one - so many builders now consider that to be "wasted" space. It's a pity.
Yes, a grand foyer with a large round table. Wouldn't we all love one of these in our homes? I'm going to miss my Southern Accents!

Fabulous photo and tribute to SA- they will be missed.
I just love the softness of the colors used on the walls, doors and trim against the wood floors and lovely table arrangement.
This looks inviting and soothing to me.
Very nice presentation and selection for Tablescape.
God Bless,

Ahhh...one can dream!! Just beautiful!
Just beautiful. My perfect home would have a foyer big enough for a table ... and oh yes the fresh flowers would be a must.

I have always found a round table just inside the door very enchanting. Fit for a princess!

Very beautiful I love blue and white.
I'd love to see that space decorated for the Holiday season!
Southern Accents is no more? This is the first I've heard of that. How sad. I always enjoyed their beautiful interiors.
